Welcome my name is Mike with Quantum Merchant Services and today we are going to talk about Online payment processing. You actually have a couple options when it comes to online processing, first one being Virtual terminal and the second one is Payment Gateway.

The Virtual Terminal the advantage it gives you is that you actually, everywhere you go you have internet connection you just login to a website, you put your user name and password and you can accept credit card. So if you thinking about maybe if you go to a trade show as long as you have an internet connection and a laptop, you can accept credit card payments.

Payment Gateway is more like a system that is integrated into your website, if you have like a shopping cart you want to add to your website to make it more convenient to your client to just go on your website and purchase whatever they want to purchase and make the payments, they have the option of doing it using Payment Gateway.

Now what are the advantages of those solutions is that when you have a Virtual Payment Gateway compare to like a regular physical terminal, is that you could be very mobile, specially you have a lot of people who are mobile merchant they go to trade shows a lot, maybe they are selling in a different part of the city . That way you are tied to a set terminal that is somewhere where you have to have the card to swipe. So it really gives you a lot of, makes it more easier for you when you have those option.
